AJLA – Arte Judío Latinoamericano
NGO Founded in 2025
Friends of traditions and of those who break them
AJLA – Arte Judío Latinoamericano is an NGO dedicated to promoting Jewish Arts in Latin America. AJLA seeks to connect and empower members of the Jewish cultural/artistic ecosystem, and to scale their productions. AJLA is open to all Jewish artists and cultural practitioners, and to everyone interested in creatively exploring the contemporary Jewish experience.
We are guided by pluralism and diversity, creating an inclusive space for all Jewish voices and aiming to make room for all forms, sentiments and thoughts within Judaism. Particularly, we seek to celebrate Latin Jewish culture in all its diversity and how it is enriched by other Latin American cultures, and to give room to cultural agents that have not been represented by traditional Jewish institutions.
We seek to highlight the value of Latin Jewish artistic practices, and creatively build the future of the Jewish experience in Latin America.
AJLA runs a digital media dedicated to contemporary Jewish art and culture in LATAM. It comprises a website, a newsletter and a social media channel. View all articles by Agustin Jais here
